Notes About This Book
Ř
Preserving Bronze Plaques
And Memorials
was written primarily for bronze. However, the techniques in this book
will work equally well with other metals used for making plaques and
memorials. Ř Our thanks to Escondido Charter High School, Escondido, California, for allowing us to use their bronze plaque (situated beneath the flagpole, shown below) to illustrate this book. The plaque states that the flagpole was donated in honor of Ray T. Graddy and William W. Patrick for their “dedicated service in the military.”
Ř Thanks also to Lori Walker for demonstrating the steps in preserving this plaque.
