Sterling Silver Drip Plate
My client had a candelabra that was missing one drip plate. I copied
the existing ones by fabricating
the tube and concave plate (made by spinning) separately, then joined them
together with silver-solder.
I made a mold of the decorative trim, cast it in low-temperature metal
(basically pewter), soft-soldered
it to the sterling concave plate and then silver-plated it to match.
The middle drip plate of all the following pictures is the one I duplicated.
The reddish color was from
poor lighting.
